A LONG-ESTABLISHED FAMILY-RUN PODIATRIST PRACTICE

TIMOTHY AND JULIE NOYCE HAVE PUT FEET FIRST FOR 30 YEARS

Timothy Noyce trained as a chiropodist at the London Foot Hospital and School of Chiropody

For over thirty years Timothy has diagnosed and treated every imaginable podiatric condition and remains as enthusiastic today as he was when he became State Registered in 1977. After qualifying he worked in the public sector for over seven years, initially for Lewisham Health District before moving to the South West Surrey Health Authority. Timothy decided to establish his own podiatric practice in the mid-eighties and has run his practice in Godalming for over 10 years. Timothy is the nephew of Godalming mountaineer Wilfrid Noyce, who was a member of the 1953 British expedition that made the first ascent of Mount Everest.

The practice is managed by Julie Noyce, who having worked as a nurse for much of the last 30 years is sympathetic to the various needs of our many patients who range from young children through to those of more advanced years. Sports and occupational injuries and conditions are regularly diagnosed and treated.

DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT

In our comfortable and relaxing surgery we diagnose and treat a comprehensive range of foot complaints and conditions. Many of our patients attend with a specific problem to be treated, but we also provide general ongoing treatment for nails and callus (hard skin) care to overcome discomfort in walking. Regular foot problems we treat include corns, ingrowing toe nails, involuted (curled-in) toe nails, athletes foot, verrucae and the painful condition of plantar fasciitis (policeman’s foot). We also advise on the treatment of bunions.

Your feet are not just vital for getting you out and about but also provide some very important pointers to your general health. During our initial consultation process we will also discuss with you any health issues and particularly we look for signs of other conditions such as diabetes which can be indicated through an examination of your feet.

The treatment we provide at our Church Street surgery includes all of the common complaints that can make for severe discomfort whilst standing and walking.

TREATMENT AND REMEDIAL CARE

A focus of our foot care procedure is to also examine the physics of how you walk and how you stand. An unusual gait or standing position can indicate particular problems and the possibility for the need for other treatments to reduce symptoms elsewhere.

We can prescribe effective off-shelf orthotics, or where necessary refer you for prescription orthotics. At our Church Street surgery visiting practitioners provide treatments for osteopathy and homeopathy.

  • Removal of corns.
  • Treatment of ingrowing toenails. In severe cases we can undertake nail surgery under local anaesthetic to ensure elimination of the condition.
  • With involuted toenails we provide comprehensive help and advice on managing the condition and reducing discomfort.
  • We can effectively treat athletes foot and help avoid any reoccurrence with practical instruction on preventative foot care.
  • Successful treatment of verrucae is carried out through the applying of acids and effective advice on avoiding any reinfection.
  • The painful symptoms of policeman’s foot can be countered by practical advice in managing the condition and possibly through the prescription of off-shelf orthotics.
